Bahamas Wedding

Grand Bahama Island, the fourth largest island in the Bahamas, is the best kept secret for your Bahamas Wedding.

Here, you can easily plan a fabulous three to four-day destination wedding in the Bahamas celebration for you and your cherished family and friends.

Host your Bahamas Wedding ceremony on one the island's many beautiful, powdery white sand beaches that dot the island's southern shore then move to an outdoor or indoor waterfront venue for a celebration of  wining, dining and dancing.

Lucaya, the hub of activity, is home to large hotel resorts or medium up close and personal medium size hotels.  Over 30 shops, restaurants, bars and night spots are located at Port Lucaya Marketplace, the hub of activity.  Excursions in the likes of fishing, sunset boat cruise and beach picnic cruises also depart from here.

For a taste of nature, explore the eastern end of the island with your guests.  Kayak nature tours through mangroves with lunch on the beach at the Lucayan National Park are amongst active trips for you and your guests.

Freeport (airport code FPO), the island's capital, is located just off the coast of South Florida.  Short frequent flights service the destination.  American Airlines services Miami, Bahamas Air, Continental Gulf Stream and Vision Air offer flights from Fort Lauderdale and Gulf Stream flies from West Palm Beach.  Cruise ships' wise, Celebration sails to Grand Bahama Island from the port of West Palm Beach and the fast ferry Pinar del Rio from Port Everglades.
A Bahamas Wedding may be planned by Chic Bahamas Weddings.  The company plans and designs weddings on Grand Bahama Island and will travel to other locations throughout the Bahamas.  Chic Bahamas Weddings is based in the Bahamas.

Bahamas Destination Wedding in November

November is a beautiful time of the year for a wedding in the Bahamas and Kristen and Brett's 11.11.11 wedding was no exception.  Some 23 enjoyed this intimate wedding weekend at Pelican Bay Hotel, Freeort, Grand Bahama Island.

Married at Pelican Bay's waterside gazebo at 4:00 p.m. on 11.11.11, the couple and their guests wined and dined in Delphine's, the Canal House, Pelican Bay.  The highlight of the evening was a stellar Junkanoo performance by the Swingers, a top Junkanoo band.  DJ Earl Neely kept the crowd rocking throughout the evening.  Floral designs were by Katybel Taylor.  Lyndah Wells, local professional photographer, captured the wedding.

Chic Bahamas Weddings, a company offering full service Bahamas wedding planning and based in the Bahamas,  planned this wedding with Kristen and her mother, Trish.

Bahamas Weddings on Gorgeous Beaches

Beach Wedding Ceremonies are the order of the day for Bahamas Destination Weddings on Grand Bahama Island.
The island abounds with beautiful pristine, private, secluded beaches and brides and grooms may take their pick in choosing a venue where they’re assured of a private, intimate setting to share with cherished family and friends as the knot is tied.
WilGrant Photography captured this hapy shot of Erin and Jamie just after their beachside wedding.
Pelican Bay at Lucaya/Chic Bahamas Weddings offer a unique wedding ceremony on a stunningly beautiful private beach.  Guests take a whimsical, fun 15-minute ferry boat ride to the beach ceremony.  The ferry boat pushes up on sand where a ramp is dropped and guests disembark.  The below image by photographer Lyndah Wells shows a picture perfect beach ... all ready to receive a Wedding in the Bahamas.
