Grand Bahama Island's Xanadu Beach -- Cruise Onshore Wedding

Grand Bahama Island has 97km (60 miles) of sandy shoreline, but Xanadu Beach is most convenient for a cruise ship onshore wedding.  There's more than a kilometer (2/3 of a mile) of white sand and (usually) gentle surf.   Much of the time you can have the to yourself with complete quiet and privacy ... the beach stretches from Xanadu in a westerly direction.

Bahamasair Launches Four New Routes to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Brides, grooms and their guests now have a new way to fly to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island for a Bahamas Destination Wedding.  


Bahamasair, the Bahamas' national flag carrier, this month launched four routes to the US as it set up a secondary base in Freeport (FPO).  The four routes launched, each being served twice-weekly, are flights to Baltimore/Washington, MD (BWI), Louisville, KY (SDF), Raleigh-Durham, NC (RDU) and Richmond, VA(RIC).  737-400s operated by Extra Airways of the US service the routes.
