Recently, I had the opportunity to attend my 9th Engage! Luxury Wedding Summit at the Breakers Palm Beach. Produced by the amazing and uber talented Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts, this event is always breathtaking.
I attended my very first Engage! in 2008 when the event was launched at Celebration Hotel, Celebration, Florida -- some 50 of us gathered to engage. Each of the twice annual affairs have raised the bar to extraordinary heights.
:tyg
Arriving at this event with baited breath, anticipation of what will be unveiled during the next three days runs high. From the super congenial registration team, headed by the wonderful Cindy Folak, to our first afternoon session on arrival day, to the welcome reception, luxury wedding speakers, a dine-around hosted by one of our featured speakers and the finale - a grand cocktail reception, dinner and dancing -Wow!!!
Every aspect of the Engage! experience is most exhilarating! Thank you Rebecca and Kathryn! Love you!
I'm happy to share some of Day 1 Engage! images courtesy of Elan Artists, Scott Clark and Chellise Michel Photography.

Bahamas Wedding Review
This warms my heart and makes my day ... Photos by Crazzi Photographers.
With only six (6) months to plan my fairy-tale wedding, I was a nervous wreck because I knew that there was no way I could have pulled this off in such a short time. Fortunately, I met Mrs. Marva Munroe in the nick of time to assist in planning and coordinating the most important day of my life. As we diligently prepared for the wedding, Marva would listen attentively to my requests and offer sound advice to supplement & enhance my vision. Every time I called, emailed (sometimes in the wee hours of the morning) or wanted to schedule a meeting, she never hesitated to respond in a timely manner. Every minute detail was articulated and discussed as Marva went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that I was happy. There were no requests that she did not hesitate to grant, which made me feel confident in her and less anxious as the big day swiftly approached.
On November 24th, 2012, as my husband and I made our entrance into our venue, we were left speechless and blown away. The ambiance of the room was one of pure elegance! Marva incorporated lovely decor and special lighting that gave the atmosphere a romantic touch and made sure that everything went smoothly. I definitely received more than what I expected as Marva brought my dream alive that night!
If you wish to have a beautiful, lavish, extraordinary wedding that will blow your mind, you MUST hire Mrs. Marva Munroe. Her professionalism, humble demeanor, charismatic personality and exemplary work will make you fall in love with her and ease any fears that you may have as your special day approaches.
Marva is simply MARVELOUS!

Bahamas Wedding Review
Featured on the blog today is a review of David and Heather's Bahamas Wedding. Knowing that my efforts made a difference in the lives of this couple brings great jog. Enjoy!
"My wife and I are from Connecticut and we wanted to have a destination wedding that would also be affordable for our guests to attend. If that is also what you are looking for this is the place for you!
"We were married on April 20, 2012. From the time we contacted the wedding planner Marva Munroe to let her know we were interested in having our wedding at Pelican Bay to the wedding itself we never had to worry about anything at all. Marva was an absolute gem to work with. She also seems to be well known and respected in Freeport. (Just as a side note, I came down with an terrible eye problem the morning the day we left for the Bahamas and Marva got me in to see an optometrist the same day. They were very friendly and sympathetic and helped me greatly.)
"Everything about the wedding was perfect (including the weather). The gazebo that we were married at has the bright blue Bahamian water right behind it. The patio we had our reception on was right on the bay also.
"Everyone at the reception raved about the food. We picked the sirloin salad for an appetizer and grilled chicken/grouper for the entree so there was something for everyone and there was nary a crumb left on most plates. The passed hors d'oeuvres were excellent also (have to get conch fritters).
"The booze was plentiful and they had Bahamian beers and coronas rather than the usual boring US domestics you would find at weddings. We didn't meet the DJ "Jose the Partymaker" until our reception but he did an awesome job. We had about 30 people there of varying musical interests and everyone was dancing the entire night. He maybe played one slow song after our initial mother/son etc. dances.
"The waiters and bartender were great also and they even ended up dancing with all of us by the end. People in the balconies above us seemed to be having a great time, too.
All in all it was an absolutely perfect night.
"The night before the wedding we had everyone go on the water taxi that the hotel has to go to a bonfire dinner as our "rehearsal dinner." This dinner is open to anyone so there were people there besides us and we all had a great time. They had fun with me and my wife because they knew we were getting married. It was all you could eat (good food) and there were endless Bahamas Mamas and just a wild party."
Thank you, David and Heather!

Bahamas Wedding - The John - DeMey Real Wedding
Featured on the blog today are Real Wedding notes from bride Crystal John DeMey. Photos are courtesy of Robin Roemer Photography. Enjoy!
Marva Munroe made my dream Bahamas Wedding become a
reality. I started planning my wedding about a year before the wedding
date. She was extremely attentive and
approachable. Not only answering my "neurotic" emails in a very
timely manner but she also put my New Yorker OCD qualities to rest by assuring
me she had everything under control.
She arranged a full 3 day weekend wedding
celebration for us and our guests, meet and greet party, rehearsal dinner and
our wedding. The meet and greet was held at the Sabor Pool at Pelican Bay
where our guests enjoyed fresh Bahamian refreshments while swimming and
listening to music.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Taino by the
Sea, where our 115 guests boarded a ferry to the location, ate authentic
Bahamian Barbecue and danced the night away with a surprise appearance of a
fire dancer. It shocked our guests and they have never seen anything like
it.
Our April 14, 2012 wedding was held on a
private beach. The ceremony was one of our favorite parts of the
wedding.
Even with 115 guests, Marva still managed to
make it feel very intimate and personal. The reception was held at
the Canal House at the Pelican Bay Hotel. The food was exquisite.
True story, I still have dreams of our salad! It was that good!
The room was filled with fresh Hydrangeas and
Roses, with votive candles everywhere. It jaw dropping. The Junkanoo band
jump started the party and we danced the night away till the wee hours of the
morning. Guests were also treated to specially made whisky from
Ryan’s birth place in Iowa and rum from Crystal’s birth place, Grenada.
I cannot tell you how many times I've heard it
was the BEST WEDDING ever! Pelican Bay Hotel is a star rated hotel, the customer
service is number 1 and they really put their guests first! The whole weekend
was magical! I cannot thank Marva enough!

Bahamas Destination Wedding Planning - Fun Things To Do
Chic Bahamas Weddings has planned destination weddings for many couples. Brides and grooms are always very interested in fun things to do for their guests' Bahamas Wedding weekend.
On Grand Bahama Island, a fun group activity is a trip to the Lucayan National Park at low tide. At the recommendation of a previous bride who had her wedding on Grand Bahama Island this past April, Kendalle and Gregory visited and made the trip to the National Park over the weekend.
At low tide, the beach at the National Park, known as the island's "Welcome Mat," is spectacular. Plan to include a picnic at this very special spot and make it a four to five hour excursion. Your guests will love you and the breathtaking sites they get to take in!
Chic Bahamas Wedding, a boutique wedding planning company loacted in the Bahamas, would be happy to plan and design your magical day on Grand Bahama Island.

Bahamas Wedding by Robin Roemer featured on Style Me Pretty Today
Bahamas Wedding by Robin Roemer Photography
It really doesn’t get better than a Caribbean wedding! The warm breezes, festive music, rum and late night soirees by the beach really can’t be topped. And this next wedding is certainly no exception and judging from the description by the bride, it must have been one heck of a celebration! Robin Roemer Photography snapped up all the pretty and there’s a whole lot more to see right here in the full gallery!
From the Bride… I got married on April 14th, 2012, and it was the wedding of my dreams. My husband Ryan and I got married in Grand Bahamas Island in the Bahamas at the Pelican Bay Hotel. We chose the Bahamas my family is from the island of Grenada and I always wanted a Caribbean wedding. Because my husband’s family is from Iowa, I wanted an accessible Caribbean island. So we settled on the Bahamas. We hosted 115 guests who came from Iowa, New York and Grenada. We had our ceremony on the beach, and it was absolutely beautiful. Since the hotel was on the bay, a ferry transported our guests to a private beach for the ceremony. There was not a cloud in the sky and it was 75 degrees. Ryan’s brother, Matt, conducted the ceremony and my father, Anthony, sang “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music with a violinist. He used to sing that song for me growing up, so it was very touching.
After the ceremony, we had cocktail hour at the pool of our hotel. Steel drummers performed, and cocktails featuring liquor from where Ryan and I are from were served — whiskey from Iowa and rum from Grenada. At the reception, we shocked our guests by inviting a Bahamian Junkanoo band to come play. Junkanoo involves festive brass and drum musicians dressed in carnival attire. They ambushed the party and cranked the it way up! My aunt made my wedding cake as well. I was so honored. Our reception went until 2 in the morning! Almost every one of my guests told us it was one of the best wedding they have ever been to. It was also the best day of my life.

Fall Bahamas Destination Wedding on Grand Bahama Island
Today on the blog, we feature a Fall Bahamas Wedding in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island ... photos courtesy of destination wedding photographer Tom Davis of Studio 280.
Mike and Stephanie, a Boynton Beach, Florida couple, chose bright, tropical colors for their Fall wedding. Colors of strawberry, grape and hints of lime were striking against aquamarine blue waters.
A Spanish Main Beach afternoon wedding ceremony was followed by a reception dinner at Pelican Bay at Lucaya, their host hotel.
Mike and Stephanie welcomed their guests to the island with a fun beach bonfire rehearsal event at Margueritaville Sand Bar. A gorgeous full moon made the evening very special for all.
